You can obtain free legal help by doing the following:
Go to a Help Desk
All legal advice is done in person. No legal advice is provided by phone. If you meet the income requirements, you will see an attorney on the day you visit the Help Desk.
What To Bring
Free legal help is only for people who cannot afford an attorney. Income eligibility is based on the size of your household. Ex: One person household can make $15,000 or under a year; four person household can earn $30,000 or less.
Proof of Income: A pay stub or a benefits letter such as a disability acceptance letter.
If you are a victim of domestic violence, we will provide help regardless of your income.

What Will Happen at the Help Desk
You will meet with an attorney who will explain the court process and, if needed, help you start the forms needed to begin your case. You can visit the Help Desk again so you can get help throughout your case. In some cases, we will try and assign you a pro bono attorney to help you, but this is not guaranteed.
The cost of the attorney is free, but you are responsible for any court costs. In some instances, you may be eligible to have some court cost waived.
