WAYS TO GIVE

Donate
As a non-profit organization, the Birmingham Bar Volunteer Lawyers Program (BBVLP) relies on the support of donors to provide high-quality legal services to those who have no other means to obtain access to justice. We are deeply grateful for the donations we receive and offer the following opportunities for you and your firm or company to support us.

Individual Giving
We welcome one-time monetary or stock donations, regular sustaining gifts, tribute gifts in honor of loved ones, and legacy gifts.  We can provide you the necessary tax documentation and can work with your investment advisor to structure your gift to be mutually beneficial.

Champions for Justice
Our Champions for Justice givers provide the backbone of support for the BBVLP to operate through three-year gifts that sustain the organization and provide needed operating funds. Champions for Justice givers serve as our number one funding stream.

Pro Hops Vino!
Mark your calendars and consider a sponsorship of the third annual Pro Hops Vino! on September 21, 2017. This wine and beer-tasting event is the biggest party of the year for the Birmingham legal community and provides needed funds for the BBVLP to grow. Proceeds from the 2016 Pro Hops Vino! funded programming for a new Veterans Legal Help Desk and a new Bankruptcy Legal Help Desk.

Grants
The BBVLP is grateful to the generous support of the Alabama Law Foundation, Legal Services Alabama, the United States Patent Office, the American College of Bankruptcy, the Civil Justice Foundation and the Birmingham Bar Foundation.
